America--A Good Spanking

In America today too many people have given up on the idea that we can regain our position as a great nation, and a lot of people are going around waiting for someone else to take the first step towards renewed greatness. Far too many people are going around giving the rest of the world the impression that we are some kind of "big shots", while what they really see is more align with "big bullies, " and "big mouths". doing a lot of talking and proclaiming, but not believing in anything, and not being able to back up what they are proclaiming or believing. For all you people that have just given up on this country -- I say, you have a lot of nerve. For those of you who are waiting for someone else to take the first step for mankind; Neil Armstrong did it already in 1969 and one of our greatest men ever who took that first step for humanity, has died. As for all you "big shots", "bully's", and "big mouths", you might want to sign up for the first commercial passenger flight to mars because they are looking for people like you to colonize the planet. So start saving your money, or should I say, proceed in stealing our money from us -- the hard working real patriotic Americans.

What this country needs now is love sweet love ---  but it needs a good spanking first. We need to stop the whining and step up to the plate before it is too late, and I can assure you it will be. We absolutely cannot sustain this type of "attitude" and "behavior", and total personal disregard for our children's future. They did not ask to be born into this man made "selfish don't give a damn mess"; they didn't even ask to be born. Our behavior has gone from beyond disgraceful and totally unacceptable, to a predictably and dangerous road to extinction.

We are condemning our children to a future of doom and gloom in which there will be now way out for them. This is the God's honest truth and we all know who the guilty ones are, don't we. We are not a nation of leaders leading the future, we are a nation of non -  leaders leading our children into no man's land without any water to drink and they will die of thirst.

If hearing the truth displeases you then go ahead an read a good  fairy tail,  because you are living in "never never land ", which is right around the corner from "la la land".

Really think about what I have just said, and if ever you do look into the eyes of a child, just try not to feel like crap because you choose to do absolutely nothing about securing their future ---  their future that may not be in their future.

America, wake up before it really is too late, and it may already be. It is for you to decide.

Dearly Beloved - A Love Letter

Dearly beloved:
This is the first love letter I have ever written. I'll get right to point and tell you that I love you with all my heart and soul. There, I got over the hardest part first. I really wanted to tell you in person, but I could never bring myself to telling you face to face. Too big

When I look back on my life, I guess I was too young, naive, and immature to really appreciate my love for you and all the important things you stand tall for. Looking at you and loving you from afar has always been difficult, but now I must come forward and tell you how much I love you and need you, before it is too late.

As far back as I can remember we have had a wonderful history together, and I was always in awe of your beauty and majesty. You were always there for me and will always be a real portrait of beauty to me, possessing the power of a queen, and the allure of countless  hidden treasures. Even when things really got distant between us, and after all the times you left me out in the cold., I choose to still embrace you - I will to the end of time.

My beloved, I really need to tell that I need you so much it hurts me, and I don't know what I ever would do without you. I long to be needed by your loveliness, and I will shout it from the top of the highest mountains and from the floor of your hearts deepest valley's.

I know you are in deep trouble now, and you don't know how to get your self out of it. Well my sweet, because you have always been there for me when I needed you, I can't, and won't ever desert you -  my love for you has grown stronger and stronger, as I have grown older and wiser.

The time has come to rescue you from the dangers that lie ahead of you, for I will be your rock, your Gibraltar. It is the very least I can for you after all have done for me my precious, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Through the years you never let me down, you always turned my world around with your compassion to treat everyone you met with open arms. You have always been a statue of liberty in my eyes, and to everyone who has ever come to know you. Sometimes I feel like I am loosing my best friend -  someone who has always taught me right from wrong, knowing that you were right. Seeing you change so much right in front of my eyes seems like closing books and long last looks my friend. Above all you are my let freedom ring, and my beacon of love and hope. So bring me your heart no matter how broken, come as you are, for all that you thirst for you will thirst no more, and all who search for you will find what their souls are longing for. Here in this moment I choose to reach out and touch your heart.

It is with great pride, compassion, love, and loyalty that I will always pledge my allegiance to you. It is for you my dearly beloved America, that I shall sing your praises from sea to shining sea. If we have to turn back time, we will find our way.

It is in you and God, I put my trust.

America-- A good Scolding

When I was young, and believe me I was one mischievous little boy, I remember being scolded for my bad behavior. I was young, but I knew the difference between right and wrong, and I knew there were going to be consequences for my bad behavior, but being young and naive, I just didn't care. When you are young and don't know any better, that's one thing, but when we grow up we are supposed to act like responsible adults --  because we need to teach the children well, which is exactly what we are not doing. Today in America much of  what I see is a nation of adults going around acting like children with no parental guidance, and what I am observing mostly is children leading children --  but in reality, no one is leading at all.

We used to be a great nation, but not any more. We have freedom, yes, a freedom that was fought and paid for dearly by our ancestors lives, and still to this day, brave men and women are giving up their lives in order to let freedom ring out across our once great land. Freedom does not come free, and it is surely not worth loosing.

We are behaving badly as a nation, and we need a good scolding:
We need to:

Stop, when we see a stop sign-- because it means stop
Stop talking on our cell phones while we are driving, we can kill  an innocent person
Stop text messaging when we drive, we can kill an innocent child
Stop pointing fingers at others; Christ said you can see the splinter in my eye, but not the log in yours
Stop looking down at the ground while we are walking towards someone and look in their eyes and put a smile on our faces, they need love just like we do, and we may be saving their life
Stop assuming that every one else is bad, and we are perfect
Stop believing everything we hear from the media, they are imperfect humans just like us --- seek your own truth
Stop watching all that crap on TV, it is ruing our lives, our children's future, and it is killing America's morality
Stop being ungrateful, it is UN-American; just ask anyone who has been to war, or ask an appreciative  immigrant living here now, what grateful means to them
Stop waiting for the government or others to make life better here in this country, it is up to us, and only us---ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country; go ahead, try it, it will feel good to you, to others, to JFK, and to Mother America
Stop thinking that what the American flag stands for isn't worth saving or saluting anymore, that it is cliche' with no meaning, and went out in the 60's ---  it didn't
Stop playing inappropriate music with trash lyrics too loud in public, and enough with the foul language and trashy unsuitable, inappropriate clothing in front of our children and our seniors, its immoral, and they deserve better, and we seniors don't like it
Stop buying dogs and teaching them to be ferocious pets to show your fear and distrust of your fellow man, when it it you who can't be trusted; so go out and buy your self a golden retriever or a black Labrador retriever, they are dogs of peacemakers
Stop believing it when people tell you God is dead, he isn't; besides you have never even looked for him in the first place
Stop being a proc lamer and become a believer --  learn to defend your beliefs or non-beliefs, at least let people know what it was that lead you to believe what you are defending in the first place
Stop walking around like a zombie and seek, and maybe you will find, the greatest treasure of life which is buried deep inside of you, but is invisible to the eye
Stop ass aching, our children are watching us, they are our only hope for a future of peace
Most importantly, start behaving because the universe is watching

Go in peace, and let the Prince of peace be your guide

America--Is She Worth Saving

There is a word circulating within America today which is often used to describe the body and soul of a person who believes that America is worth saving. That word would be 'patriot'. Those of us who claim to be patriots are proud to defend our beliefs associated with this word. Patriots are considered to be of good moral value, which encapsulates many attributes, among them goodness, kindness, and courage. To be a patriot is to be aligned with what is morally right, which is the ability to understand and distinguish what is right and what is wrong.

However, to be a patriot and to disagree with some one else's point of view, should not exclude them from your definition of the words best used to describe a person who is patriotic. Today, such exclusion will play a damaging role in creating a polarization that threatens to create a chasm between those who may have opposing views.

This is commentary which must lead us to an understanding of the essential goodness that most human beings carry, while also understanding others who may share a different point of view.We must begin to move away from the historical perspective of dialogue that will take us away from the dichotomy of we and they. The definition of patriotism over many years has come to mean a variety of things, some of which are stronger in some than others.

Among the things that one may include in their definition of what it means to be a patriot are among the following:
-love for one's country and belief she is worth saving
-commitment to the ideals upon which she was founded
-hope for the future of the nation
-desire to rectify past mistakes that have been made
-faithfulness to the Constitution
-belief in all things right

As patriotic Americans, we must ask ourselves this one question: is America worth saving? If the answer is a resounding yes, we must see to it that this new commitment to the ideals of America are not the same approval of her practices in the past or the present. You must ask yourself what role do you play in this country worth saving. I will discuss this in greater detail in a future post----"One Way Out."

America is not one thing, she is many things. And being a patriot is not one thing, but many things. The new patriotism that America needs is one that will be based on diversity, honesty and trust.

With these values, and wearing the banner of hope, sound ideals, and a good sustainable moral code, we may come to the realization that yes --- indeed she is worth saving. We need to do this not just for future generations alone, but more importantly, for the people who lived before us and laid down their lives so we may know the true meaning of liberty.

She is the best there is, and there is no other like her.
She is who we are. We are she who is worth saving.

No Man Is An Island

Human's don't thrive when isolated from one another. "No man is an island, entire of itself, each is a part of the continent, a part of the main."  This particular quote John Donne (1572-1631), seems to me to be as powerful a quote as "The golden rule." Both resonating the idea that we would be much better off if we would just get to know one another, love as we want to be loved, and begin to accept one another as equals. Sounds so easy doesn't it? Seems like something we are already doing, but most of us are not. I believe if this were true, we would have eliminated most of the insurmountable problems plaguing this great nation today.

"Isolation is not a good destination." When we isolate ourselves from one another, we miss the true joy of life that only bonding and lasting human relationships can provide. What we need are bridges leading us from the isolation of our personal island, to the strong, secure, and connected ground upon which we can rebuild a strong republic. We must concede this notion that we can continue to survive without one another; this is not working and it never will.

When our ancestors arrived here they were armed with the idea that in order to survive, they needed to become one. They looked out for one another enduring hardships even they never could have imagined. They realized the importance of strength in numbers. We have the numbers, we just have to get our strength back and pick up the ball we dropped.

In America today we need to look in one another's eyes, put a smile on our faces, open doors and build bridges together that will lead us down the road to true peace and prosperity. We must engage ourselves into becoming a united one, showing the world what our ancestors already knew, it takes peaceful people to create a peaceful nation.

Peace out America.
